Meet other students at the first Lambda Alliance event of the year, The Cookout. 


Open House | August 16, 2017 | Memorial Hall Ballroom | 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM 

Join staff of The LGBT Resource Center for our annual Open House event. During the event you will have a chance to meet staff and student leaders of The LGBT Resource Center to learn about all things they've planned for the 2017-2018 year as well as learn more about services and resources for LGBT and allied students.

In addition, several campus, Athens, and Atlanta groups will be present at a resource fair for you to learn more about campus and community engagement.

PRISM Meeting | August 29, 2017 | The Intersection, Tate Student Center | 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM 

Prism is a dialogue group for students who identify as LGBT people of color. It was developed by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center and the Office of Multicultural Services and Programs (MSP) to recognize and address intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual identity. Prism serves as a space to explore what it means to hold these identities, create dialogue, and build community in an informal and affirming setting.

The Safe Space program at UGA is a three and a half hour training for faculty, staff, and students who are interested in learning about gender and sexual identity, homophobia, heterosexism, and how they can provide support and work toward being an ally for the LGBT community.

Join an LGBT faculty member, Dr. Justin Lavner, for conversations about academia, student-faculty relationships, and how you can make the most of your college experience.


Lunch with Leaders | September 1, 2017 | Adinkra Hall, Memorial Hall | 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM 

The Lunch with Leaders program is an opportunity for students to have lunch and informal discussion with an out, LGBT-identified community leader who briefly shares their personal story, how they came to terms with their identity, how they have balanced their identity with other aspects of their life, and how their identity has affected their career path.

After Lunch with Leaders join Kali DeWald, Lead Career Consultant of UGA's Career Center, for an opportunity for one-on-one conversations about resume developments and to ask her any career related questions.
