Annette Hatton Outstanding Student Advocate Award
Annette Hatton, managing editor of The Georgia Review at the University of Georgia for over 22 years, founded GLOBES in 1994 and also helped to start Athens Pride in 1998. She served as the chair of GLOBES until 2008. The purpose of this award is to honor Annette’s dedication and contributions and will be given annually at Lavender Graduation. The award comes with a scholarship and will recognize an undergraduate student for his or her remarkable commitment to service in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. Any undergraduate student who has made a substantial and long-lasting contribution to the LGBTQ community at the University of Georgia may apply for the Annette Hatton Outstanding Student Advocate Award.
